Overview
POS Mappings control how data syncs from ConsignR to your integrations. Create custom mappings to sync ConsignR fields—including your custom fields—to Shopify standard fields or metadata fields.
Creating a POS Mapping
Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar
Select Integrations
Click Add Mapping
Choose your POS Type (Shopify)
Select a available Resource Type:
Standard Field – Built-in Shopify fields (title, description, etc.)
Metadata Field – Custom metadata fields for any Shopify object
Complete the target setup:
For standard fields: Choose a field like product title or description
For metadata fields: Enter an existing namespace, field name, and field type
Choose a Local Field Type – Select which ConsignR field (products, items, or custom fields) syncs to your target
Review your mapping configuration
Click Create
After Creation
Once you create a mapping, all new products and items automatically sync to Shopify with your mapped fields. Existing items will not be retroactively updated—only items created after the mapping is established.
Tip: Test your mappings with a new product to verify the data appears correctly in your connected POS before importing inventory.
