What is This?
ConsignR can export the inventory you choose to a CSV file formatted specifically for Whatnot's online Seller Hub dashboard.
Exports for Whatnot function exactly the same as standard inventory exports. This means that any filters you set on the inventory page will determine the items that get exported.
When using the Whatnot export, the CSV is formatted specifically for import into Whatnot's Seller Hub. This will eliminate the time spent preparing your listings pre-show as the inventory data exported from ConsignR will be up to date.
Please note this is not a real-time API integration. If you could make use of a full integration, please ask Whatnot to email us back.
Workflow Overview
Export the items you want to sell from ConsignR. using the Export Whatnot Inventory option.
Upload the CSV you exported from ConsignR to Whatnot
Add the inventory you just uploaded into Whatnot to your show.
Sell the items.
Export your orders from the Shipments page in the Whatnot seller hub
Sync sales to ConsignR to calculate profit and update consignment sales.
Initial Setup
Go to Settings -> Integrations in your ConsignR portal to enable the Integration.
This will add 2 Template Custom Fields to your portal to map the correct categories to your Whatnot inventory.
Update your templates and set the respective Whatnot Category and Whatnot Subcategory for your items.
How To Send Inventory From ConsignR to Whatnot
Navigate to the Inventory Page on your ConsignR portal.
If desired, set the filters to only match the items you want to sell right away.
Click the 3 dots at the top right and select "Export Whatnot Inventory"
Download the export file that was generated. If you don't see the notification. Navigate to Settings -> Exports to download the export file.
Return to your Whatnot Seller Hub Dashboard
Click the Upload Icon next to the "Create Product" button
Upload the export file you just downloaded from your ConsignR portal
You're Done! Now you can manage the items as usual within your Whatnot account and sell them in your shows.
If you'd like to automatically import sales into ConsignR do not modify the product description on Whatnot. The Barcode ID for each ConsignR item is included in the Product Description in the format. #000000. The portal is expecting this barcode ID to be at the start of every description.
How To Import Sales From Whatnot Into ConsignR
Export a Shipments CSV from your Whatnot Dashboard
Import this file into your ConsignR portal in Settings -> Integrations
Done!
If the same item is imported twice it won’t be counted as sold twice. This integration will only update Active items in your inventory.
